Dromberg stone circle is one of the finest of a unique series of stone circles which were built in the Cork / Kerry region during Bronze Age, 2000-500 BC. The circles consist of symmetrically arranged stones with the two tallest or portal stones to the north-east forming an entrance, and the lowest to the south-west called the axial stone. The number of stones in the circle can vary fom 5 yo 19. In Dromberg there are 19. In the circle excavations has reveled a cremated remains of a youth.
