The Wicklow Mountains, including the Sall Gap pass, is a wilderness mountain area just south of Dublin. It is hard to believe it will take you less than an hour to get from a busy Dublin to the high mountains. It used to be hideouts or opponents of English rule and is still a place far from civilization. The building of Military Road started in 1800 makes it possible today to access the area. Have a look at the pictures I took during a sunny day drive across the Wicklow mountains.
